With this season, between Thanksgiving and Christmas, there is a bustle in Denville, New Jersey

The weekend following Thanksgiving will be a weekend filled with events not to miss.

Denville’s Old Tyme Holiday

This weekend, following Thanksgiving, Denville Township has scheduled the following:
Friday, November 23rd from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Downtown Denville stores will be opened for all ages. There will be live entertainment, ornament making and photos with Santa as well as the tree lighting.
Saturday, November 24 all stores are open. So come and support Denville by shopping Denville.
Sunday, November 25, 2:00 PM Denville Holiday Parade. Come and enjoy the floats. The theme is “A Few of My Favorite Things”. Half an hour after the parade the Denville Community United Methodist Church, on Diamond Spring Road, is presenting 2 movies: “The Polar Express” and “The Bishop’s Wife”.

This Wednesday eve, November 28, On Cablevision Public Access, Channel 21, 7:00 PM Denville TV presents “Denville, Up and Running” edited and produces by F. Mott.

On Sunday November 27, 2011 Denville held it’s annual Holiday Parade, as varied and thrilling as ever. There was the usual joy and thrill of the crowd as well as the memories of the impact of the floods from Hurricane Irene on Denville Downtown and Denville Residents (August 28, 2011). The Mayor and Mayor elect gave acknowledgement of Denville Downtown’s amazing recovering and returning to business, as well as gratitude to all those, within and outside of Denville, who has been giving continuous support to Denville’s Recovery.
DENVILLE IS BACK. So Come to Denville, this season, for your holiday shopping. Once again you will find the most unique presents in Denville, from the Peruvian Store, Bridges to the Irish store, Faith and Bagora. There is Broadway Florist and so many other stores that you have treasured or you should look into in Downtown Denville.

The First Chevy Volt Arrives at Denville…..

On December 15th, 2010 the media converged onto Denville Gerhart Chevrolet covering the first arrival of the Chevy Volt. There was CNBC, Channel 12 NJ and even a TV station from Japan among the media. You can see part of this historical event on the Denville TV Youtube Channel; http://www.denvilletv.com . In this video the Mayor of Denville, Ted Hussa, gives a proclamation.

This Holiday Season has been an active time in Denville. The weekend following Thanksgiving the Denville Chamber of Commerce sponsored the Denville Open House 2010, Friday, November 26th and the Denville Holiday Parade 2010, Sunday, November 28th. More recently, this year’s Denville Hannukah Lighting, Dec 7, 2010 shone as a most significantly special one. Boy Scout David Halkyard, of Denville Boy Scout Troop 17, with help and support of his father, Martin, mother, Beth, friends and Boy Scout Troop 17 Leaders Tom Andes and Al Green, took it upon himself to construct a needed new over 10 foot Hannukiah (Menorah for Hannukah). Presently on the Denville TV Show on Cablevision Public Access Channel, Channel 21 ( in Morris County, New Jersey), showing Wednesdays @ 7:00 PM, you can view The Denville Historical Society Xmas Show 2009 (last year) beautifully done by Dana Foreman, to catch the holiday spirit.
