Celebrate the Children

“Celebrate the Children”, a state approved school oriented to teaching students age preschool to 21 years, with certain challenges, is looking toward Denville as a new home.
On Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at the Denville Zoning Board of Adjustment Town Meeting, 7:00 PM, in Denville Town Hall, the school will present their plan, to purchase the former Foundation for the Blind Building, on Diamond Spring Road for approval. Any support at the meeting would be appreciated.

Sunrise Rotary Club Duck Race this Weekend

Denville Sunrise Rotary Club will be holding it’s annual Duck Race, this Saturday, June 22,at Gardner Field. Check in time 9:30. Race will begin at 10:00 am. You can buy a rubber ducky at Denville Ranft Vacuum on Broadway. Then decorate it. You can win a prize for your decoration.

The Denville Centennial Parade

The Denville Centennial Parade was a phenomenon success. The floats were gorgeous, the participants enthused. The sun was out on this memorable Sunday, June 9, 2013.
You can view the parade on done by Fritz Mott. So get out your popcorn. This youtube video is 1 hour 18 minutes and 31 seconds. You will see footage from Luger Road, where the Denville Centennial Parade commenced, to Broadway, where the parade continued in full swing. The video concludes with some of the festivities in Gardner Field where Mayor Tom Andes announces the winners, in various categories of floats, bands and participants. Congratulations to all the winners and thank you to all the participants.

The Beautification Committee won the overall first prize for the most beautiful float.

There were 3 other volunteers of Denville TV that were doings videos of the parade. So there will be more footage to see on internet and Denville TV Public Access Channel 21, to be announced.
