Aftermath Hurricane Irene Downtown Denville

The day following Hurricane Irene, August 29th 2011 I ventured into Downtown Denville. The waters had receded a lot already. It was already over 24 hours since the flood waters from the Rockaway River and Den Brook had peaked in Downtown. I was told by others the water was over four feet on Broadway and Route 53 by Getty. I saw photos of one person standing neck deep in the water by the Route 53 overpass. This was record flooding in Denville. You can see the video taken August 29th 2011, of Downtown Denville on Denvilletv.com.
