Chasing Butterflies

Posted in Monarch Butterflies on September 25, 2010 by denvilletv

You may wonder where Denville TV has been. I have literally been chasing butterflies particularly Monarch Butterflies. In the last week, especially, I have observed dozens of the Monarchs in Denville, New Jersey. It is thrilling that the Monarch butterflies have included Denville, New Jersey on their trip itinerary to Mexico for the winter. It is heaven to see them.

In the meantime I have done a number of videos of events in Denville in August and September. There are a lot of options for the upcoming October Denville TV Cablevision program as well as a number of events to place on the Denville TV Youtube channel. I need time to do some sorting. And I will let you know further.
Thank you for your patience. Happy Monarch Butterfly

Starting September 1, 2010 Cablevision Public access Channel (21 in Denville) will air Nick Picciano Part 2 at 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM. The program will go on for the month of September (4 weeks). This part Nick tells of all the committees he has volunteered on since his retirement. I am inclined to ask Nick when he sleeps. Nick mentions seven committee he has served on;
1. The Dare Committee
2. The Denville MAC Committee ( Municipal Alliance Committee responsible for the creating of the Strings Program in the Municipal Building, this fall 2009 and Spring 2010. The Fall 2009 String program gave music lessons, by volunteers musical instructors, to interested Denville School Children in the string instruments and orchestra. This program was implemented due to cuts in the extracurricular programs in the Denville School System, starting Fall 2009.
3. Pride Committee, headed by Bob Ranft.
4. Denville Planning Board
5. Recreation Committee- in this excerpt Nick talks about the changes taking place in Denville government during the 1970’s.
6. Laudati Playground Committee
7. Library Committee
The video concludes with some words of wisdom from Nick to our concerns for Denville’s future.
